Jose Cuervo is still produced on land granted to the family by the King of Spain. In 1758, Don Jose Antonio de Cuervo was issued a land grant by King Ferdinand VI of Spain in the town of Tequila. And the rest is history: the Cuervo family was the first business to receive a license to produce tequila (named after the town, not the other way around) and is the oldest family run business in Mexico.

The Maya ‘Wall of Skulls’ (Tzompantli) at Chichén Itzá, Yucatan, Mexico.

Tzompantli means “skull racks” in Nahuatl, and were described by the horrified Spanish conquistadors. This Mesoamerican architectural form is usually found in central Mexico during the Postclassic Period, where they were often made of the real skulls of sacrificed people. Low platforms with carved friezes depicting such skulls are found at some Maya sites in association with ball courts. The shown frieze from Chichén Itzá is one such example of this.

  • The main culprit to blame for there being more homeless men than women is a lack of adequate welfare programs, accessible mental healthcare, and veterans services, since veterans are more likely to suffer from mental health disorders and are overwhelmingly male and more likely to come from lower socio-economic backgrounds.

Well, no. The point is that women receive more federal aid simply for being women ; whereas men don’t receive as much, and some feminist groups have fought against males receiving aid. It is not just veterans either – it’s men in general.

Nope. Women actually have higher employment rates than men , female owned businesses get money for simply being women despite male businesses being hit hardest during the recession, and women get special scholarships for being women , despite men being minority of college graduates. Men in general are doing worse in all aspects of the education system – and feminism hasn’t addressed this. Women are simply given more opportunities than men – and nothing is stopping women from going into blue collar work where men are dominant, other than their own choices.

True. Women are more likely to go to a doctor, take less risky behavior, and are overall healthier – as has been for possibly thousands of years. While there are individual and societal factors, there are biological factors which neither MRA nor feminism can counter.

Nope. Men are either equal or greater than women to be victims of domestic violence – depending on the source. Men also cannot leave the relationship because of child custody, and having no where to go because of a lack of shelters. Furthermore, states have been outright forbidden from giving funding to male shelters, and men are more likely to be arrested even if they were abused.

Men aren’t counted as rape victims – in fact, the national sexual violence survey says that men can’t be raped unless it is orally or anally. If you change the definition of rape from ‘forcibly penetrated’ to ‘forced to have sex’ then they are somewhat equal. Feminist Mary P. Koss’s definition of rape is used, and she even says in her book Detecting the Scope of Rape: A Review of Prevalence Research Methods that it is inappropriate to consider males rape victims. More studies – albiet they have small sample sizes, they still show women are often predators.

That can largely be explained by the fact women take lower paying jobs, take more time off, and leave the workforce earlier. Taking those into account, women and men earn about the same amount.
